Keith Edmonds’ battle to survive the unimaginable

 

Keith Edmonds’ life was nearly cut short before it even began. At just 14 months old in Flint, Michigan, his mother’s boyfriend brutally pressed his face against an electric heater, causing third-degree burns that scarred half of his face.

Doctors didn’t expect him to survive the night, but Keith fought through the trauma and endured years of painful surgeries to rebuild his appearance and regain a sense of normalcy.

Following the attack, Keith was placed in foster care while his mother was cleared of wrongdoing, and eventually, they were reunited. The man responsible for the attack received a surprisingly light sentence of just 10 years in prison.
