Jacklyn earned a degree in psychology at age 45 and became a source of inspiration to many. During the funeral service on August 23, attention turned unexpectedly to Jeff’s wife, Lauren Sánchez, whose outfit sparked backlash online.

While Jeff wore a classic black suit, Lauren’s pairing of a navy blazer, black skirt, and backless heels was widely criticized. Commenters on social media called it “inappropriate” and “disrespectful” for a funeral, with particular focus on the mismatched colors and high-heeled shoes. Even Jeff received criticism for appearing to smile in photos.
