JUDGE FRANK CAPRIO HAS PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 88

Judge Frank Caprio has sadly passed away at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be remembered not only as the longtime Chief Municipal Judge in Providence, Rhode Island, where he faithfully served for nearly four decades, but also as a national figure who touched millions of hearts through his television show Caught in Providence.

 

 

Judge Caprio became beloved for his unique ability to blend justice with compassion, often showing kindness, empathy, and humanity in the courtroom. His memorable moments—whether offering encouragement, sharing a heartfelt story, or showing mercy to those struggling—made him an inspiration well beyond the city he served.

 

His legacy is one of fairness, dignity, and genuine care for people. He showed the world that the law can be administered with both firmness and compassion, leaving behind an enduring reminder that kindness matters.
