Baking Soda Pedicure – Deep Clean and Soft Feet Remedy

This baking soda pedicure is a luxurious, rejuvenating foot care ritual you can do right at home.

It’s designed to exfoliate dead skin, soften calluses, neutralize odors, and leave your feet feeling silky smooth and refreshed.

Baking soda, a humble kitchen staple, is a natural cleanser and deodorizer with mild antiseptic properties.

When combined with warm water, oils, and other soothing ingredients, it transforms into a spa-worthy soak and scrub that revives tired feet and promotes circulation.

Perfect for those who spend long hours on their feet, suffer from cracked heels, or simply want to indulge in self-care, this pedicure is both therapeutic and beautifying. It’s gentle enough for weekly use and can be customized with essential oils, herbs, or moisturizers to suit your skin’s needs. Whether you’re prepping for sandal season or winding down after a busy day, this baking soda pedicure is your go-to remedy for happy, healthy feet.

For the Foot Soak:

  • 4 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt or Epsom salt (optional for muscle relaxation)
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil (for hydration)
    • 5–7 drops essential oil (lavender, peppermint, or tea tree for aroma and healing)

    • 2 tablespoons baking soda
    • 1 tablespoon honey or yogurt (natural humectants)
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (brightening and antibacterial)
    • Optional: 1 tablespoon sugar or fine salt (for added exfoliation)
    • For Moisturizing:
      • 1 tablespoon shea butter, aloe vera gel, or thick body lotion
      • Optional: 5 drops vitamin E oil or almond oil

      Tools:

      • Foot basin or tub
      • Pumice stone or foot file
      • Towel
      • Nail clippers and cuticle pusher (optional)
      • Socks (for overnight moisture lock-in)
      • INSTRUCTION:

Step 1: Prepare the Foot Soak

        • Fill a basin with warm water deep enough to cover your feet.
        • Add baking soda, salt, oil, and essential oils. Stir until dissolved.
          • Optional: Add apple cider vinegar for extra detoxification.
          • Soak your feet for 15–20 minutes. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and relax.

          Step 2: Exfoliate and Scrub

          • After soaking, pat feet dry slightly but keep them damp.
          • Mix the scrub ingredients into a paste.
          • Apply the scrub to feet, focusing on heels, soles, and rough areas.
            • Massage in circular motions for 5–10 minutes.
            • Use a pumice stone or foot file to gently buff away dead skin.
            • Rinse feet with clean warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Step 3: Nail and Cuticle Care (Optional)

            • Trim nails straight across to prevent ingrown toenails.
            • Push back cuticles gently using a cuticle pusher.
            • Clean under nails and shape as desired.

            Step 4: Moisturize and Seal

            • Apply a generous amount of moisturizer or shea butter to feet.
              • Massage thoroughly, especially into heels and toes.
              • For deep hydration, wear cotton socks overnight.

              Step 5: Repeat Weekly

              • For best results, repeat this pedicure once a week.
              • Maintain hydration daily with a light foot cream or oil.
