It’s no secret that eyebrows have become a creative playground in the beauty world. A quick scroll through social media will show you everything from unicorn horn brows to fishtail designs and even brows shaped like Nike swooshes. Just when you thought you’d seen it all, a new quirky trend has emerged: halo brows.

Like many unusual beauty trends, halo brows originated on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where bold and unconventional looks often go viral. The look features a looped arc that connects both eyebrows across the forehead, forming a “halo” shape.

The trend was created by Hannah Lyne, a 16-year-old beauty influencer from the UK. Her post introducing halo brows quickly went viral. “My friend and I were talking about fishtail brows, and we came up with this idea,” she wrote on Instagram. In an interview with Pop Sugar, Lyne clarified that it wasn’t a joke — the look was inspired by fishtail brows. “We were brainstorming new ideas, and suddenly I thought: what if I connect the tails of my brows?” she explained.

She later told Yahoo Style, “I just want people to have fun and try weird, creative looks!”

A Divisive Trend. As with many viral beauty trends, the reaction was mixed.

Some users praised Lyne’s creativity and originality. One wrote, “I love it!” while another said, “Your talent is endless. These ideas are so unique!” However, many others were not impressed. Critics labeled it a “ridiculous” or “cringe” trend. One user commented, “I can’t tell if she’s joking,” and another added, “Deleting Instagram because of this.” Still, Cosmopolitan praised the look as “strangely beautiful,” calling it “heavenly halo brows” and describing it as “unconventional yet gorgeous.”

Even if the trend isn’t for everyone, it reflects how beauty continues to evolve through fun, expressive, and unexpected styles. Whether you’re into classic shaping or wild experimentation, there’s room for all kinds of brow creativity today. So, what do you think? Would you ever try halo brows — or do you prefer to stick to tweezing and waxing? Let us know, and don’t forget to share this with your friends to hear what they think too!
